About Us

GA all the way.

Let’s face it – general aviation is getting harder, not easier. Rising costs (insurance, leases, parts), increased complexity due to fleet age and new technology, difficulty in finding capable A&Ps, and more cash-strapped owners (due to rising aircraft ownership costs) are never-ending headwinds.

We’re on a mission to create software tools for GA that improve safety, save time, and streamline operations without breaking the bank. We’ve been doing it consistently for over 30 years – which is why today our users are tracking, inspecting, and working on over 60,000 aircraft.

Standing on the Shoulders of Giants

In the early 90s, Jim Thomas of Tdata and Reuben Zook of Avantext had a simple idea to improve the way maintenance professionals received, researched and utilized critical regulatory information. In those days, Jim and Reuben were shipping paper binders and microfiche around the country.

Thirty years later, these two greats decided to combine forces to form TBX. By combining, we felt we could more effectively continue building great, easy-to-use software. Today, our suite of products span regulatory compliance, tech pubs, and maintenance workflow tools to run your maintenance shop.

Built on a Foundation of Excellence

Over the years we’ve built a solid team of maintainers, pilots, and developers dedicated to supporting the GA community. Our guiding principles continue to inform how we do business each and every day:

  • Service First: customer first
  • Keep it Simple: simplify, simplify, simplify
  • Clean, Verified Data: accurate and consistent
  • Safety: risk reduction is a process
  • Teamwork: aviation is a team sport

Our team members are distributed across the United States with an on-airport office at KDLZ (Delaware Municipal Airport). If you’d like to learn more about us or inquire about any job openings, contact us here. Thanks for stopping by.
